Plays on every device
Social platforms often deliver video in formats such as HEVC or VP9 that phones handle but many Windows PCs and older devices do not. When that happens we convert the file to H.264 video with AAC audio, the most compatible MP4 combination. If the video is already H.264, the video stream is copied unchanged so there is no quality loss.

Frequently asked questions
How do I download Instagram Reels?
In Instagram, tap Share on the Reel and choose Copy link. Paste the link into the box at the top of this page and press Download. When the video is ready, press Save MP4. The Instagram downloader page covers the details.
Can I download TikTok videos without a watermark?
Usually, yes. We save the version TikTok serves for playback, which normally has no moving username watermark. We don't edit videos, so text or stickers the creator added stay in. More on the TikTok downloader page.
Why is my video not downloading?
The most common reasons are that the video is private or was deleted, the link points to a profile instead of a single video, or the file would be larger than about 500 MB. Open the link in a private browser window to check that it plays without logging in, then try again.
Can I download private videos?
No. Only public videos can be downloaded, and we never ask for your login or password.
How do I save a downloaded video to my iPhone camera roll?
In Safari the MP4 is saved to the Files app, under Downloads. Open it, tap the Share button and choose Save Video. It then appears in Photos.
Is Reel Download free?
