About Reel Download

A small, independent tool for saving public social videos as clean MP4 files.

What it does

Reel Download lets you paste a public link from Instagram, TikTok, Facebook or X and get back a standard MP4. It detects the platform automatically, fetches the video, makes sure the file uses codecs that play on every common device, and hands it to you. No extension, app or account is needed.

How it works

• Your link is sent to our server, which retrieves the public video from the source platform.
• The file is checked and, if necessary, converted to H.264 video and AAC audio with FFmpeg.
• You download the result. It is then deleted from our server; unclaimed files expire after about 15 minutes.

Our principles

• Privacy first: no accounts, no stored videos, no selling of data. See the Privacy Policy.
• Public content only: we cannot and do not access private videos.
• Respect for creators: we ask users to follow the Terms of Use and honour copyright. Rights holders can request removal at any time.
• Honest ads: the site is funded by Google AdSense ads placed on content pages, never in the middle of the download flow.
