How to download X (Twitter) videos
Save videos and GIFs from public posts on X (formerly Twitter) as MP4 files.
Step by step
- On the post containing the video, tap the share icon and choose Copy link.
- Paste the link into the field on the home page. Both x.com and twitter.com links are accepted.
- Press Download and wait a few seconds.
- Press Download on the result card to save the MP4.
A typical link looks like https://x.com/username/status/1234567890. Any link of that shape works; extra tracking parameters after a ? are fine.
Tips for better results
- The link must point to a specific post (it contains
/status/), not a profile. - Posts from protected accounts cannot be downloaded.
- If a post has several videos, the first is fetched.
Troubleshooting
Nothing is found at my link
The post may have been deleted, or the account may be protected. Open the link in a private window to check.
Quality looks lower than expected
We save the best available quality up to 1080p; the original upload may simply be lower resolution.
Use downloads responsibly
