How to download TikTok videos
Save a public TikTok video as an MP4 that plays on any device, without the watermark overlay and without creating an account.
Step by step
- In TikTok, open the video and tap Share, then Copy link.
- Paste it into the field on the home page. The TikTok chip highlights when the URL is valid.
- Press Download and wait while the video is fetched and converted.
- Press Download on the result card to save the MP4.
A typical link looks like https://www.tiktok.com/@creator/video/1234567890. Any link of that shape works; extra tracking parameters after a ? are fine.
Tips for better results
- Short links such as vm.tiktok.com/… and full desktop links both work.
- TikTok often serves HEVC video that Windows cannot play without a codec pack; we convert those to H.264 automatically, so conversion can take a little longer.
- Slideshow/photo posts are not videos and are not supported.
Troubleshooting
The download fails for a video I can watch
Some videos are limited by the creator or by region. Try again in a minute, since TikTok occasionally throttles requests, or confirm the video is public in a private window.
The file won't open on my computer
Re-download it: our converter outputs H.264/AAC MP4, which every mainstream player supports. Older downloads from other tools may use HEVC.
