How to download Pinterest videos
Save video pins from Pinterest as MP4 files, using either the full link or a pin.it share link.
Step by step
- Open the video pin in the Pinterest app or on pinterest.com, tap the share icon and choose Copy link.
- Paste the link into the field on the home page. Both full pinterest.com links and short pin.it links are accepted.
- Press Download and wait a few seconds.
- Press Download on the result card to save the MP4.
A typical link looks like https://www.pinterest.com/pin/1234567890/ or https://pin.it/abc123. Regional Pinterest addresses such as pinterest.co.uk work too, and extra tracking parameters after a ? are fine.
Tips for better results
- The link must point to a single pin, not a board or a profile.
- Only pins that contain a video can be saved. A pin that is just an image has no video to download.
- Private boards and secret pins cannot be downloaded.
Troubleshooting
Nothing is found at my link
The pin may have been removed, or it may be an image rather than a video. Open the link in a private window to check that the video plays.
The video is short or low resolution
We save the best available quality up to 1080p. Many pins are uploaded at modest resolutions, so the original may simply be small.
