How to download Facebook videos
Save public Facebook videos and Reels (including fb.watch links) as MP4 files for offline viewing.
Step by step
- Open the video on Facebook, tap Share and choose Copy link (or copy the address from the browser bar).
- Paste the link into the downloader on the home page.
- Press Download and wait for the file to be prepared.
- Press Download on the result card to save the MP4.
A typical link looks like https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1234567890. Any link of that shape works; extra tracking parameters after a ? are fine.
Tips for better results
- Only videos set to Public can be downloaded. Videos in private groups or friends-only posts are not accessible.
- Both facebook.com and fb.watch links work.
- Facebook frequently uses HE-AAC audio, which some Windows players cannot decode; we convert audio to standard AAC.
Troubleshooting
I get an error on a video from a group
Group videos are usually not public, so they cannot be fetched.
The video has no sound
Re-run the download. If the original has no audio track, the MP4 will not have one either.
Use downloads responsibly
Videos belong to their creators. Save content for personal offline viewing, or with the creator's permission. Don't re-upload someone else's work as your own, and respect the platform's terms of service. See our Terms of Use for details, including how to request removal of content.
